How the referral line works

A short description of what happens when you call, and what this site is not.

(951) 507-1096

Tap to call. Say your ZIP code and what happened.

The call

  1. You dial the number

It is on every page. Taps on it from a phone start the call.

  2. You say where you are and what happened

A ZIP code and a few words about the damage are enough.

  3. You are connected

If your ZIP code is covered, the call is passed to an independent restoration contractor.

  4. You decide

You talk through the job with the contractor. You are under no obligation to hire anyone.

What this site is

A website and a phone number. It does not employ restoration workers, own equipment or hold a contractor license. It does not take payment from homeowners.

California's Contractors State License Board says referral services are lawful if they do not solicit or negotiate contracts for a contractor and do not claim they can do the work. This site follows that line.

CSLB: online marketplace and referral fact sheet.

What you should do on the call

  • Ask for the contractor's name and California license number, and check it with the state.
  • Ask what the contractor will do and what they will not.
  • Make any agreement directly with the contractor, in writing.
  • Pay the contractor, not this site.

Calls only

The number is for inbound calls. This site does not send text messages or email to people about their damage, and it has no web form.

Water in the house right now?

Call, give your ZIP code, and say what happened. You will be connected with an independent restoration contractor. Calling early gives you more choices than calling after the damage has spread.
